ESG Policy
Environmental, social and governance standards across the procurement, trading and sale of biomass and energy commodities: climate and emissions, resource use, labour and human rights, and board-level accountability.
· Compliance & Governance
We trade biomass that meets EU sustainability law, and we document it. Our procedures are audited internally, governed by board-approved policy, and updated as the regulation evolves.
RED III · EU Renewable Energy Directive
Every biomass product satisfies the sustainability criteria of the EU Renewable Energy Directive (RED III). We monitor regulatory developments and update our procedures as the rules evolve.
EUDR · EU Deforestation Regulation
Our traceability procedures align with the EU Deforestation Regulation. Suppliers are screened, documented, and where needed verified on site.
Displacement · carbon
Responsibly sourced biomass displaces fossil fuels and supports the EU's renewable energy targets. We do not trade biomass from sources that undermine carbon neutrality or derive from unsustainable forestry.
Certification · third-party
We give preference to suppliers holding recognised third-party sustainability certifications (ENplus, PEFC or equivalent). Where certification is unavailable, enhanced due diligence applies.
· Policy library
